"Yeah.", he said agreeing with her. "Lycans aren't exactly known for their friendliness."
"Unfortunately, fresh air doesn't last that long.", he replied thinking about his decision to try to get back into Chthon. He hadn't told anyone yet.

Sophie sighed propping her head against her hand and looked at Chad. "Yeah, I guess you're right..." She glared longingly at the coffee. She really needed to stop with all the caffeine. She cleared her thoughts and focused back on Chad. "Somethin' on your mind?"

OOC: Sorry for the 3-day absence; things have been kinda crazy over here . Chad sighed, knowing that he had to talk to someone about his decision. "Actually there is something that I'd like to talk about. Tonight I'm going to go talk to Marcus van Sciver. I'm going to tell him that I want to be a member again."

ooc: tis alright Her eyes widened at Chad's comment. "But-- You think he's gunna take you back after..." Sophia bit her lip after a moment of silence. From their last adventure at the House of Chthon it was completely chaos. She even had the bullet wound in her leg to prove it. Truthfully, she barely made it out alive and it seemed in her eyes to be a suicide mission. "I just want you to be safe."

He smiled. "Thanks Sophia. It's nice to know I've got friends." Knowing that he had people to count made things a little better. Chad picked up his cup about to take a sip, when he realized the cup was empty. He placed it back on the table. "It's just that everything has been really quiet lately.", he blurted. "When I hid around the city for awhile after everything went down a couple months ago, all I had heard was that Project Aurora had been a success. Then nothing. No one in the supernatural community knew anything. I heard rumors which only mentioned Marcus having trouble with lycanthropes. Even those rumors didn't have many details. I think if we had someone in Chthon we would at least have some information. Granted, me meeting with Marcus may not be the brightest idea, but I think I can convince him to make me a member again."

Lucian entered the coffee shop, Lauren Randall not far behind. Went up to the counter and ordered "A flat white, thanks." Upon looking around while waiting for his coffee his eyes come to rest upon Chad, Lucian's keen supernatural senses picking him up as a vampire immeadiatly. Lucian simply smiles too himself and looks away, wondering if Lauren will notice the vampire in their midst. Lucian sensing this to only by a fairly newly turned sees no danger. Expecting that this vampire may not even notice two lycans even at this proximity, it would be interesting to see if he was wrong.

OOC: Sorry it took me so long to respond, I have just been busy with work and school.
Lauren Randall entered the coffee shop tagging along behind Lucian. Went up to the counter and ordered "Vanilla latte, thank you," Lauren said smiling.
While waiting for her coffee Lauren noticed Lucian looking over in Chad's direction.
"That there is Chad Slukov. He is a member of the House of Chthon and he seeems like a very interesting guy. But something tells me that he is hiding something," Lauren said smirking.

OoC: No problem Lucian shows a surprised smile "How do you know so much about the vampires of Detroit? Here I was wondering if you'd sense a vampire at this proximity and you know him by name."

Chad let Sophia take in his little tirade and then waited for her response. His gaze turned to the cafe's entrance as two strangers strolled in. Immediately he sensed that there was something odd about them, yet he could probably find something odd about everyone in the cafe. Therefore, he turned his attention back to Sophia, the two strangers temporarily out of mind.

Lauren looked at Lucian and said, "You see, when you visit Detroit by yourself, you have plenty of time to figure things out."
"Call it a gift if you want to," Lauren said smirking.

Their coffees arrived and Lucian picked his up, paid for it and gestured to a table. "So what makes you think this Chad Slukov is hiding something?"
Lucian wonder if he would hear them saying his name.

As Lauren's coffee arrived she picked it up, paid for it and then followed Lucian to a table.
As Lauren sat down she answered Lucian's question by saying, "Call it a hunch. I can just tell that Chad is hiding something by the way he acts. He seems very careful with his actions towards other people."

Lucian nods at this "Maybe, but vampires generally have things to hide. It's in their nature, by simple virtue of having to hide their feeding they become secretive about the most ridiculess things."

Sophia looked down at the table momentarily and shifted her gaze back to Chad. "Well-- alright. But if you run into any trouble you make sure and get a hold of me and Abby. Alright?"

"You know I will." He picked up his empty coffee cup and stood. "I'll be right back. I'm going to throw this out." Chad walked past the ordering counter and tossed his empty cup into the garbage can. As he turned around to walk back to the table he heard his name mentioned in conversation a few tables from him. He continued walking back toward Sophia and he glanced slightly over his shoulder in the direction of where he heard his name uttered. It was the man and the woman who had entered the cafe just a few minutes ago. He quickened his pace and when he reached Sophia he sat down across from her and whispered as low as possible, "That man and woman, sitting a couple of tables away, they're talking about me."
