The blonde glanced at the small piece of paper before shoving it in her pant pocket. Before she knew it, the man that had been looking to their table was now asking to sit with them and asking them questions.
Her mouth opened but nothing came out as the man with dark hair cut her off before she could even formulate an answer. He began asking about lycans. Sophia exchanged glances with Chad once again. Was their crazy in that coffee today? She again didn't know how to answer this. Play stupid? Admit that she kills them and numerous other creatures for a living? Not exactly subtle but still true. Playing stupid was her best bet. This guy could be just some rambling wanderer.
"Like those big dog things?"

Thaelan smirked at this obvious attempt at playing dumb.
Sitting down at there table he asked his next question, looking at Chad more specificly.
"What would you say if I accussed you of being a vampire then?"

Chad surprised himself by staying quiet during the few minutes that the conversation lasted. He just couldn't believe that a lycan was asking him and Sophia for help. But anyone that wanted to take down Marcus van Sciver was okay with him. He just wondered why he had never heard the names Ty Adrastos and Isabella before now.
Chad had known there was a man who had been watching them but he ignored that fact while the conversation between Chad, Ty, and Sophia had continued. When Ty slid them the piece of paper and walked away, Chad was about to turn to Sophia and tell her what he thought. Just as he began to speak the mysterious man approached their table and asked if he could sit down and ask them some questions. Before either Chad or Sophia could answer the man, he began the questioning.
Chad's eyes widened slightly as the man mentioned the term "lycan". This was turning out to be quite a strange night.
Chad glanced at Sophia and then spoke to the man. "Depends on why you are aksing."

Thaelan smirked at this.
"I'm asking because I am the first, a Lycan and you are a vampire."
Thaelan extended his hand to Chad.
"My name is Thaelan Tynan."
Thaelan turned his gaze towards Sophia.
"You appear to be mortal but I could be wrong, care to enlighten me otherwise?"

Chad smirked at the man. "Thaelan, nice to meet you. My name is Chad Slukov, and this-", he jestured to the young woman sitting next to him, "-is Sophia Renault."
Chad couldn't help but smile at the man. He was polite yet blunt.
"You're right, I am a vampire. Now, why were you watching us?"

"Nice to meet you both also, strangely enough, I'm looking for employment." Thaelan watched for the reaction with his supernatural senses tuned for the smallest subtleties in mannerism.
"In the past I have found vampires to be good employers with their aversion to sunlight, lycan make excellent body guards."
Thaelan waited to see there response before continuing.

Chad glanced at Sophia, not quite knowing how to respond. "Well, I don't know if I really need a bodyguard as this moment. I may need one at some point in the future.", he said not quite knowing if he should tell Thaelan why.

Thaelan nodded to this, reaching into his coat and pulling out a card. Extending it to Chad.
"My card, call me, if you find you do in the future."
The card was a simple white card with the words:
Thaelan Tynan Personal Security expert. and a cell phone number.
"Feel free to give my details to your friends. I'll be setting up an office here in Detroit in the near future."

Chad took the card and thanked Thaelan. He slid the card into his pocket and wondered if he really would need this lycan's help at some point.
"By the way, did you know that man we were with?"

An odd look crosses Thaelan's face.
"No, should I have?"
Thaelan wonders to himself: "What would make him think that, unless that faint scent was, no it couldn't have been or could it, another Lycan?"

She nodded. While this was weird she went along with it smiling none the less. "Nice to meet you. And yes, I'm human." Sophia watched their conversation, still sizing up this man. It was odd indeed. From what she had got, this man was offering protection to a vampire? Now that was something she thought she'd never live to see.

"No, I don't know if you should have or should not have known him. What I do know is that you made him nervous, and I think that is why he left."

"Me? Odd. I don't recall ever seeing him before. I haven't been in Detroit long."
Thaelan thought to himself: "Maybe I should go after him and try and find out."
Thaelan stood.
"Anyway I have other matters to attend to, thank you for your time I'd best be going.."
With that Thaelan heads out of the coffee house.

Chad turned to Sophia and inhaled deeply. "How about that for interesting night? Meeting 2 lycans within 10 minutes." He raised his eyebrows. "Kind of strange." He took a sip of the drink he had forgotten about.

Sophia sighed. "Yeah, i'd say. Especially two lycans that don't want to rip my head off. A bit of fresh air if you ask me."
