"I know, I was just kidding. You and I have some things in common, I think, When I was first starting my firm, I wouldn't eat or sleep for days on end. My work was all that sustain me, with an occasional taco and beer thrown in for those moments I did decide to take a little break." said Alucard as a distant look came to his face followed by a smile as he remembered those times in the past

"You sound like it's been ages and ages" Cassie said still with a smile upon her face "and very important - beer is yucky" she hadn't felt this loopy or giggly in a long time.

"But, beer is the food of the gods, not to mention cheap when you have vey little money to spend and you are working out of a garage. I must admit that I don't drink as much beer as I once did, but after working long hours it always tasted great, not yucky. Plus beer is similer to wine these days in that there are good beers and bad ones. I must admit I drank a lot of bad ones in those days." laughed Alucard, "plus beer goes better with Chinese food, than wine. I think."

The cashier seem to have quite a stack of books as Cassie turned toward the clerk with a stack of books. Alucard stayed where he was at while he watch Cassie digging around in her bag. he could tell that she had set more than a few books aside, even though he could not read any of the title because the clerk had the book spines facing away from him. "I take it you have a lot of reserch to do?" he asked as the clerk set the books down on the counter.

" I can understand that. I have quite of collection of books on computer engineering and systems and I am constantly buying the lastest editions publications to keep abreast of what is happening in the industry, so I can understand the stack you have there. " replied Alucard as he watched as Cassie handed her credit card to the cashier.

"well this isn't exactly new litterature" showing him the titles - symbols and signs in 10th century art, Renaissance restorations, Ancient jewellery, The Victorian age " but they'll do" she said giving her creditcard to the cashier without thinking about it being in her old name - it was obviously not an American card and had the name 'Constanta Rasmine Undine' on it.

"Well it may not be new works, but it relates to your work. after seeing some of the items you were looking at in Amelie antique shop." he replied as he noticed the name on the credit card that she handed to the cashier. Constanta Rasmine Undin was the name on the card, it was a beautiful name he thought to match a beauriful woman. he had wondered about her accent and wonder where she had come from.

"Most of the time that it how it goes, you continue to build your work on tip of others, because it is the tried and true method. That is until you try something or do something no one else consider at the time, then others build upon your work, that is how knowledge advances. You look at the works of others to see how it can be applied to your current project." Alucard told Cassie as he reached for books that the cashier had just finished bagging for her. "I'll carry these for you." as the clerk return her credit card to her.

"Well if you have everything you need, then I guess our next stop is dinner" Alucard replied as he picked up the bag containing the books and stepping aside so that Cassie could pass by him, on her way to the door.
