[Alucard]

It was rough trip driving all the way from Seattle to Detroit, but it was only a matter of time before things got hot in Seattle. The Prince already suspected something and with all of the turmoil that was going on in San Francisco and Los Angeles the Prince wanted his city to remain calm and it seemed that wherever Alucard appeared trouble was not that far behind. Maybe things would be different here in the Midwest, what could happen here in the middle of nowhere. Chicago, Detroit big cities, but still in the middle of the bible belt.

Needing a base of operations and as much as he loved his UAV, he needed a place to stay. Doing a Google search he located a condo in the Breezer Complex, not good place for a base of operations, but he was new in town and need a jumping off point. The realtor would be meeting with him around 8:00pm to close the deal and with a little luck Alucard would have his first contact in the city, with the hopes of locating a more permanent and secure place for one of his kind. He has already located a secure storage facility that he could store his RV while he moved around the city and arraigned to have a limo pick him up and take him to his temporally condo. Securing his RV with security level 1 protocols, the onboard computer system initiated the security program and went into sleep mode while its monitoring systems where activated. Death would come swift and quick to anyone to curious about the RV.

The limo driver was prompt and efficient. Alucard was tempted to chat with the driver, but instead told him where he wanted to go and then raised the privacy window. Deep in thought Alucard never noticed the driving stopping until he had opened the door of limo to let him out. The building was fairly new, but Alucard knew that it wouldn’t be safe for him to stay very long. The agent showed him to the one of the penthouse suites, the view was fabulous with the from east perfect for watching the sun rise in the eastern sky. Of course some modifications would have to made, but this would do, he told the agent and asked for the keys, while pulling out a pen to sign the purchasing documents.

“I am interested in purchasing some painting and sculptures to decorate, this place until I can bring some of my things from Seattle. Do you know of any galleries that I could visit to see what they may have?” inquired Alucard as he quickly scanned through the documents making sure nothing was amissed before signing them.

“As a matter of fact there is an opening this evening. A Mr. Van Sciver just renovated a gallery and is having a showing this evening at least that is what Detroit Tribune is reporting.” Replied the broker as Alucard finished signing the purchase agreements and thinking of the commission he had just made.

“Thank-you, I will look into maybe.” Alucard said as he escorted the agent to door of his new condo. “If you would please send my limo driver up, I would appreciate it as you leave.”

“I will be happy to do that.” Replied the agent as he headed for the elevator clutching his briefcase and his newly signed documents.

[Cassie Hunter]

Cassie was on a lower floor waiting for the elevator since she had to get some shopping done - food sadly wouldn't last forever and she had been far too occupied these last few days with a new spectacular ring-bracelet-necklace set she had received from across the Atlantic to almost even eat. But now she had run out or most of it had turned a wrong colour of green and become slightly furry. She felt like she had been waiting forever when she finally heard the ding and the doors to the elevator opened.

[Alucard]

Alucard took the elevator form his penthouse to the lobby. The penthouse suites were not accessible to people on the lower floors, because the elevator required a passcard to access the penthouse floors. When Alucard entered the elevator he had forgotten to enter his passcard into the card slot which would have made the elevator an express, which would have bypassed all of the floors not on the penthouse level. So Alucard was surprised when the elevator he was riding in stopped before reaching the lobby. As the doors began to open Alucard saw a young lady waiting patiently for the doors to completely open.

[Cassie Hunter]

Cassie stepped quietly and quickly into the elevator and went to press for lobby ... which she discovered was pressed - hm he must be living very high up she thought since she had chosen a flat on one of the higher levels. she had heard rumours about exclusive penthouses but never seen a button to match. or a floor. Cassie tried smiled gently at the man and then went to adjust her heels slightly ... new shoes were always bugging her.

[Alucard]

Alucard watch as the young lady as she entered the elevator, she seemed a bit surprised as she went to press the button for the lobby and found it has already been pushed. She gave Alucard a gentle smile as moved into the elevator and adjusted her shoes. Alucard returned the smile as he looked watched her adjusting her shoes. “New shoes?” he asked indicating with a nod of his her shoes

[Cassie Hunter]

"yeah. I usually don't get new ones so ..."Cassie said with something between a laugh and a giggle "... but they were pretty. I'm Cassie by the way." and reached out to shake hands.

[Alucard]

"Pleased to meet you Cassie, I am Alucard." replied Alucard as he reached out to shake her hand. "they are nice looking shoes, I always hated breaking in new shoes"

[Cassie Hunter]

"Thank you. and very nice to meet you - what floor are you on?" She asked smiled about the compliment she had just received - it had een too long since anybody had noticed anything about like shoes, new hair cut - just the details..

[Alucard]

"It is a pleasure to meet you Cassie. As for me, I live on floor P-10 right below the roof. I like to have easy access to the roof, so that I can see the night sky. I am a bit of an amateur astronomer. So what do you do Cassie?" inquired Alucard as he glanced up at the indicator lights highlighted the floors that the elevator had just past.

[Cassie Hunter]

"I erhmm... got a degree in History and well I've been doing restoration of just about everything from painting to jewellery and knick knacks people loved" she didn't how much to tell and was afraid she might be telling too much again "so how is the view from the roof? I am a little curious since I've never been up there" she inquired and wondering who this was since he had to be new and he had chosen a penthouse."So Alucard what are you doing in this town?" she was suddenly wondering if she had remembered the list for the book she would have to pick up later

[Alucard]

Alucard was not sure how much he should tell her; he had been up to the roof not only to see the few of the city but as a possible escape route in case he needed it. He could easily jump from the roof to the street level, if he had too, but he preferred to leap to the other nearby buildings as his primary choice. “I haven’t really had a chance to take a good look around the roof, yet. I only moved to Detroit a couple of weeks ago and still getting settled in. As for what I am doing in Detroit, I am looking into some properties for one of my companies.” replied Alucard as he thought about the historian, a lucky break for him since she seemed to have some skill in paintings. “So you are an art historian then, may I ask a favor of you. I know we just met, but I have a need of your talents as I am currently decorating my penthouse and your talent with paintings and restoration would save me a lot of time and trouble to find someone with your ability. Would you be interested in doing some contract work for me? asked Alucard, bringing his hand to his chin as if considering if this was the right course of action on his part.

[Cassie Hunter]

"oh erhm ... sure - I think you would know where to find me... but erhm here is ..." Cassie said while energic going through her bag " ... my card" and presented a little card with handwritten data on "I hope it's readable... I didn't have a printer soo ... " when she shyly gave it to him and smiled a little "So what companies are you with?" He did seem very nice she thought.

Taking her card Alucard looks at the hand-written card and smiled briefly recalling the days when he was just started his company and was working out of a storage unit he had rented. “I have several companies or I should say did have several companies I recently all of the ones I had in California to a Silicone Valley competitor. I still have my primarily company located in Seattle, called Alucard Engineering, we specialize in computer and network security. We contract out to companies to infiltrate their computer networks and then present solutions to better secure their networks in both the hardware and software area.” replied Alucard as the elevator reached the lobby. “If you are not in to much of a rush, I would like to contine our discussion I could have my driver take you wherever you are headed” said Alucard as the doors to the elevator opened and he gestured for her exit ahead of him.

[Cassie Hunter]

"oh that sounds technical ..." she did feel a little stupid since she had never understood ".. and really I just need to go to the supermarket to pick up some food that is neither moldy or hairy" she blushed slightly when admitting this "... and then get some books and supplies for this jewellery set I'm restoring it's really something special. I've restored some sets but this is just different it has this lock mechanism I've never seen before and then the decorations are just exquisite..."Cassie kept rambling without noticing they were stepping out of the elevator or how he was reacting to her rambling.

“ I would say it in no more technical than the work you currently do. As a art historian you have to be able to if the painting or jewelry that you are working on is authentic and if is a piece that you are working to restore, you need to know how it looked when it was made, what time period, what kinds of materials were available when it was made to do your job properly. I think your work sounds very technical to me, as much as mine sounds to you.” Replied Alucard as they walked across the lobby. He noticed that Cassie tended to ramble a bit, but was very energetic and had a passion for her work. She seemed particular excited about the jewelry she was working on.
