Cassie looked over at him - he didn't act or sound like he was cold or was bothered in anyway - least of all with how cold she thought he felt "I don't think the food will be that important ... you should get inside if you're cold." she insisted.

You may be right Cassie, but one of the reasons the management of this place allows me roof access is because I don’t leave a mess when I finish. Lifting the entire table with the food on it a walking back toward Cassie and the shed, “If you don’t mind grabbing the chairs we can move this affair indoors. It will only take a moment and I a sure that I won’t get any colder than I already am. The table Alucard had set up was very light so Cassie shouldn’t suspect anything at the ease at which he lifted the entire table with its food, but took his time getting to the shed as he was balancing the other items on the table too

"Just here in the shed, " he replied as he set the table down next to the small work shed he had set up weeks after he had moved in. Removing the food and wine form the table he quick breaks down the table and places it inside the shed as Cassie brings the two chairs. "Thank you" Alucard says as he takes the two folding chairs from Cassie and places them in their place inside the shed. Closing the door and turning to pick up their food Alucard notices that Cassie already has the food in her hands and is waiting for him to open the roof access door.

Cassie remained silent while the had begun the descent down the stairs to his flat. When they again reached the door to the flat she stood waititng for Alucard to come down aswell - even if she had been a bit surprised with what took him so long.

Alucard was in deep thought as he descended the steps down to his penthouse; Cassie was already there as he entered the foyer waiting patiently and quiet as a mouse. Coming up next to her and facing the door to his penthouse he simply says “Alucard and guest.” It was a moment before the doors open inward revealing the interior of Alucard penthouse. The entry way beyond the door was encased in black marble before it led to a single step leading into the living room. The living room was lightly furnished but elegant, but what caught most people attention was not the furnishings, but the video wall that covered the entire wall facing the penthouse window, with it view of the city.
(OOC: That is OK, as you can tell I have had a busy week myself)

When Cassie first stepped into the hallway - she recognized the sound of her heels clicking along the black marble - and almost felt home in sparsely decorated hallway that led into the even more sparsely decorated and furnished livingroom. Whenshe laid eyes upon the wall with the view though she began disappearing into her world - while just she kept staring at it - faintly hearing Alucard saying something in the background.

“Enjoying the view? I think it is one of the best unobstructed views of the city. Here let me take those reaching for the food Cassie was still she took in the view of the Detroit skyline at night lost in her own world reaching for the food.

Alucard knew that he skin would feel cold to the touch, but he also knew that warmth of the penthouse would warm his skin. He also knew feeding would solve the cold feel of his skin even more quickly than the heat generated by the computers running in the penthouse warming the room. “I know I still a little cold, but now that we are inside I’ll soon warm up, plus I have some circulatory problems I developed on a trip to San Francisco for a computer engineering conference several years ago. If you will follow me we can take the food into the kitchen. If the living room was sparsely furnish the kitchen was fully stock, but seem to be used very little, if all of the take out restaurant menus stuck to the refrigerator were any indication at all.

"Yeah ... okay" Cassie relinquished the food to him and began going towards one of the few furnitures sitting in front of it leaning lightly against it. Hoping she wouldn't do anything to any of the very new looking sofa. "why didn't you just tell me about your illness before?" Cassie said a little louder so she felt more certain he had heard her all the way in the kitchen

“Have a seat,” Alucard said to Cassie as he returned from kitchen with two wine glasses as he handed one of the glasses to Cassie. “As for my illness like you I don’t want everyone to know my past and what I had to endure over the years. We are similar in that we want to reach out to someone, but our past holds us back. My illness is something I deal with, but it is not something I would share with someone I just met.” Taking a sip from his glass

Cassie stared into her glass and then drank about half of it while both thinking and trying to push away his words. She had afterall come to this Godforsaken place to escape everything ... only for everybody trying to discover it. When finally did bring her focus back to what she had wanted to say nothing came out. But she wanted to start scolding him like a child, though he did seem older than her, for just going out in the cold when he was ill. It sure wouldn't be good for him.

“I will admit that Detroit is a lot colder than Seattle and San Francisco are, but I am sure I will adapt to it. I am very good at adapting to new situations and environments” Alucard said as his mind drifted back to when he after he was first bitten and awaken with several other newly turned vampires and how disoriented he was along with the others thrust into a new life against their wishes. The others were dead, but he had adapted and survived. Sometimes he wished that could join his fellows who couldn’t adapt to their new lives, but his stubbornness in not letting the people who turned him win, cause him to adapt and seek his revenge against the very people who sire him

"Detroit is colder than alot of places" Cassie almost whispered still looking into her glass still. She still wanted to scold him for not saying it - but nothing good would come of that ... maybe he would just laugh at her or he would be offended since she had to be younger and a woman - so she would be in no place to say or ... she thought but trying to repress the last and repress her year long training, when she had first fled Bulgaria she had soon learned the values she had grown up with were very much out of date... and she just wanted to fit in.
