"You are right about that Cassie, I only did ask about what country you were from and not your nationality. but first let me answer your questions, yes I am form the US, born and raised. So what is your nationality then, if you are not Bulgarian?" he thought that maybe he was closer to the truth when he suggested Romanian or Moldavian, she definably didn't appear to be gypsy.

"Not Bulgarian" Cassie avoided, she had no problems telling she had lived her life inspite of being from an originally Romanian-Macedonian family, it had never felt like home, Romania was only place she felt home. "So why the penthouse?" she asked trying to turn focus back on him.

"It was nice how you avoided answering the question Cassie. I would say that my in ital theory was right and that you are more than liker Romanian, since I have business associates who are Russian and Ukrainian. Am I correct? A penthouse offers some security and they tend to be in located near the heart of the city. And I am sure you have noticed the shed near the doorway. I am a bit of an amateur astronomer and a having a penthouse gives me assess to the roof for setting up my telescope and doing some star gazing. Now back to my question, my Russian friend once told me Slavic names are built on tier system. The first name is really not that important but the middle name and last name can tell you a lot about a person. The middle name can tell you who the father is something usually means daughter of or son of and the last name the region that the person is from. Of course it has lost some of its meaning since the Soviet Union came into exsitence aftr World War II.

"your initial theory? What was your initial theory then ... and I think my name is pretty meaningless Cassie Hunter - so you should really berate my dear family for having broken such honoured traditions" she grinned - still avoiding directly answering the question or directly avoiding it.

"Yes my initial theory. I think you are from Romania, more so because of your accent, not to mention your name and I don't mean the one you are going by now. I mean your true name...Constanta Rasmine Undin. I wouldn't be a very good computer engineer if I didn't pay attention to the little details. When the Soviet Union collapsed, it was a golden opportunity to recruit bright and competent engineers who were looking to leave their former countries." taking a sip of his wine.

As Alucard kept talking began being more and more nervous - first just looking like a wild animal that was being trapped to starting to look for exits and when he was she had located the what she thought was the way down "no ... no ... I- I ... no" she stuttered and began going quickly towards the exit while muttering "no ... no ... not again ... never again ... "

Alucard knew he was right about Cassie, when he saw the panic in her eyes and how she litterly burst from her chair looking for the nearest exit. He knew she could go far without the passkey to access the elevator since the fire door was locked and only deactivated in an emergency. "Cassie, there is no need to panic. As I told you outside of Amelie's your secret is safe with me, plus you won't be able to much further than the foyer anyway. As I mentioned earlier one of the advantages of living in a penthouse is security." watching as she moved like a caged panther/

Cassie kept yanking at the door trying to get it to open - eventhough her continueing tries were useless... She kept feeling Alucard coming closer and closer which only made her movements more frantic. She didn't want to hear what he was saying - she had come here to escape it all - and if he knew how could she possibly escape anything?

Cassie was venting her frustration out on the door as she tried to open it. Alucard came up behind her. "Cassie, " he said softly as not to panic the already distraught woman. "Let me." as he gently grabber her shoulders as she continued to struggle with the locked door. As he slowly turned her so that she was facing him he could feel the muscles under her skin tighten with tension.

Cassie felt Alucard touching her and tensed. tightening every muscle in her body. She also felt tears threatening to start spilling she could hardly hold back when he had turned around and she suddenly fell into him begun shedding tears of desperation and muttering what seemed like jibbish.

Alucard simply wrapped his arms around Cassie as she began to cry, simply being a pillar of strength as shed her tears and pent up emotions. What ever had happened to her in Romania had affected her deeply and Alucard could tell that she had yet to come to grips with her past. For now he held her occasionally running his along her back in order to soothe her and whispering words of encouragement.

Cassie didn't know long she had stayed in his embrace, but it had felt good and surprisingly right. His soothing words and actions had had their effect since her cries began turning slowly into sobs and she had begun returning to reality which was also when she began noticed the of heat Alucard should have been admitting now that she was practically buried in him.

Alucard could sense Cassie heart beat returning to normal, he could feel her coming back to the here and now as her crying became a soft sob until even that was no longer. Alucard could feel the heat emanating from her warm flesh. He knew now that Cassie was retuning to the world of the living that she would feel no heat coming from his body. He thought briefly about releasing her, but changed his mind because he wasn’t sure if she was completely back or if she would continue to hold on to him. He would wait for her to release him as he held her in his arms.

As Cassie fully resurfaced she retracted a bit from his embrace and looked up simply stating "you're cold - we should go inside" hoping that he wouldn't be too offended or freaked out but what had to be very red and swollen eyes.

Feeling Cassie just a bit Alucard reluctant to release her, but did so anyway looking into red and swollen eyes from emotional outburst. “Yes, you are right we should go inside and warm up. Give me a moment to gather the food and put away the table” he said moving away from her and toward the table where their meal and wine were still laid out on the table.
