Krista eyed her for a moment. She had a hard time believing that, that was it between them. "Right. And I've never heard of you before. So why now?" The question just thrown out there not really expecting any sort of answer.

Krista took her drink and downed it. She waved the bartender over. "Keep em coming." She said with a smile. "Well since we may be here for awhile. Tell me about yourself?"

Charlene nodded and took another sip of her drink before she started to speak. “Well I was born into a middle class family, with both an older and younger sister, who I must say were polar opposites of each other. My older sister Emily, was obsessed with money, while my younger sister Brittany could have cared less about money. We argued like all sisters do, but things kind of got out of hand when I met Jeremy.”

Krista felt a smile cross her face, hearing her speak of her sisters. She thought back to her brother and her. The two were inseperable she was the only one that ever gave him any credit. She pulled herself away from her thoughts and back to Charlene. "Theres always a boy.. isn't there."

“Always..” Charlene agreed with a sad nod of her head. “However he wasn’t a ‘normal’ boy in the least. Or well I didn’t know at first. Turns out he was warlock who was actually trying to kill me. I must admit I never had much luck with guys after that.”

Krista shook her head knowing exactly how she fetl. "Who are you telling. Ive fallen for the person who took my brother from me..." She turned her head as she said it. She didnt really mean for that to come out, but it just did. She hadn't spoken of that in such a long time.

Charlene was slightly surprised. Marcus had killed her brother and still she stayed with him? She gave him more credit that she would have. “I believe there’s some good in him, somewhere deep buried under this obsession he has for ridding the supernatural world of purebloods.”

"Why else would I have stayed?" She said as she stared into her drink before she downed that too. "No matter how hard I tried to distance myself, I just fell harder. Like you said theres something there... something good."

She nodded again, finishing her own drink before setting it back down and continuing on with her story. “I’d just turned 23 when I first ran into Marcus. It would have been after my second ‘supernatural’ boyfriend and I had sworn off all relationships. Forget if they’re a nice normal person, my first concern was ‘Where they human.’ I suppose you can see how my love life went downhill very fast. But Marcus… there was just something about him. He had this air about him, I’m sure you know what I’m talking about.”

Charlene shook her head. "Don't worry he won't hear a thing from me." She said with a smile. "Anyways its wasn't long after he started courting me that I found out about his true nature. Everything after that point was kind of a blur for me." She shrugged. "What about you, what's your story?"

Krista took another drink before beginning to speak. "My life was pretty simple. It was my mom and twin brother Zack for the most part. The two of us did everything together, my only real friend I guess you'd say." She paused for a moment drinking some more. "He was the screw up and I wasn't. Though no matter what I always believed in him you know? The day I came back home from the army was the day I found out he was killed. Starting looking into it and thats how I got where I am today."
