Darius watched on as Alucard hunted his prey, he thought: "How odd, might I find an ally in this hunter of hunters..."
Continuing to watch Alucard he saw the prey come into view, a vampire of very low standing obviously. Probably not even a member of one of the houses or covens.

Alucard had only paused for a moment at the sound of the voices that his enhanced hearing was picking up, but his other senses were just as focus on his prey. Alucard knew he should pay more attention to the strong smells that he had picked one he was sure was a vampire and the other was definitely that of a werewolf, but there was another smell as fleeting as a wisp of smoke, but Alucard couldn’t isolated it because he wasn’t sure if he was smelling anything at all as he closed in on his prey. She had paused just a moment to adjust her clothing which was in disarray, which was all the time she had left to live as Alucard moved in for the feast, much as a cheetah chasing down a gazelle. She had a only a moment to gasp as Alucard fangs penetrated her soft flesh and the fresh blood she just tasted moments earlier began to nourish Alucard. He could tell from the blood the history of her life and that of her latest victim, both were now a part of him. Now sated, Alucard who nearly drained his prey of her last meal quickly snaps her neck, one less night feeder in the world. From her blood memories Alucard knew who his next victim would be, her sire.

{{I hope you all had a good holiday}}
"Good, I was worried you were going to rip my eyes out or something," a small, nervous chuckle escaped Audrina's lips. "Of course I'm sincere. Trust me, I've got nothing to lose right now, and I could use another ally just as much as you." She looked around, still searching for the source of the scent. "We could go for some coffee and I could fill you..." she stopped, her hearing picked up on the faintest cracking sound. "Did you hear that? I think it's coming from over there," she nodded off to the side. "Wanna go check it out?"

{{Sure did, thank you}}
Morgan relaxed a bit, seeing the honesty in Audrina's eyes. Yes, she's telling the truth. Morgan was glad, for Audrina was correct, she did need an ally...desperatly.
Though she was more than a tad curious as to how, or why, Audrina was the way she was. Audrina was the first tally-mark in the "Good Vampire" category, and Morgan was itching to discover how such a unthinkable thing, had indeed, come about.
But that conversation would have to come at another time.
"I'm thinking that might be a good idea," Morgan said in response to Audrina's question. Shifting her eyes away from the shadowy alley back towards her new ally, Morgan said in a hushed, serious tone, "I don't know what kind of enemies you might have conjured up in your time, but I do know that I've made more enemies than I have friends in my adventures. Whatever that is," she said, gesturing back towards the alley, "it could be anything."
Morgan took a couple of steps towards the darkness, before looking back to Audrina, "I've got your back if you've got mine."

"Of course I've got yours," Audrina took a few steps to reach Morgan. "Thankfully, I don't have many enemies, actually I can't really think of any, though I'm sure there's someone out there who's out to get me." A slight, nervous laugh escaped her lips again. She quietly began to walk towards the noise, lowering her voice, "The scent is getting stronger, so I guess we're heading the right way." She looked around the dimly lit alley, scanning for any sign of movement.

Even as he watched the now dead vampire turn to ash Alucard could feel someone was watching him. He stretched his heighten senses to try to pick up something that his feelings said was out there, but his senses said didn’t exist. He could hear the sound of women voices as they chatted with each other, he could hear the sound of their steps as they began to walk toward him. The scent of the women was strong, he could tell one was a vampire and the other was a lycan. Was it possible that each were hunting the other, since they had to have smelled each other and know what the other was, it was possible. Alucard had caught up with his victim near a service door, where the light had long ago burned out and the owner hadn’t gotten around replacing it. Alucard slipped into the doorway blending into the darkness that was even darker than where the ash of the dead vampire lay. Checking to make sure he had easy access to his weapons Alucard waited not for the women, but the unseen watcher that his senses say wasn’t there. He wasn’t ignoring the women either since they could be as much of a threat as the something he instincts said was there, but his senses refused to acknowledge.

Darius noticing the change in Alucard's attitude and thought to himself: "Maybe I was wrong, I'd best hunt elsewhere" With this he turned and lept to the next building and headed away from the alley hoping his invisibility cantrip would hold long enough to get him clear.

"Yeah, I think we are," Morgan replied, as the two of them made their way cautiously down the dark alley.
Her eyes scanned every inch of the filthy path, searching for anything that might pose a threat to either her or Audrina. With a quick glance, she could see that Audrina was doing the same.
A strange smell entered her nostrils, a smell that she had smelled before. "I think a vampire got ashed up here," she said, wrinkling her nose. She wasn't fond of the smell of ash, for it reeked of death.
A couple of seconds later, her theory was proven right. In the middle of a dimely lit section of the alley, lay a pile of dark gray ash. A couple of the bigger clumps still smoldered, glowing a deep reddish-orange. "This just happened," she whispered.
She strained her senses, trying desperatly to pick up any kind of scent that would tell her if anyone else was nearby. But for some reason, she couldn't. Disgusted with herself and her unlearned abilities, she said to Audrina, "can you sense anything?"

Audrina kneeled down at the ash, carefully looking at it. Wrinkling her nose up in disgust, she stood back up. "So thats what an ashed vampire looks like...ew, and smells like." She took a few steps back from the pile, looking around. "Actually, I'm picking up the slightest scent. It's almost like a vampire. Only not. Something's different about it. Something that I can't put my finger on." She took a few steps around the area, looking for any sign of what might have killed the vampire that was now a pile of smoldering ash.

Alucard watched as the two women came down the alley, stopping at the smoldering remains of his current meal. Alucard could hear their conversation as they looked at the ashes of the now deceased vampire. They were not only using their eyes, but other senses as well to probe in the darkness of the alley. Alucard could sense the nervousness coming from the two women and debated whether he should leave his hiding place and introduce himself to the two women, they didn’t seem to be hunting, but then it is not everyday you see a werewolf and vampire working together. Just as Alucard was about to reveal himself to the two women a flock of pigeons had just taken flight as if something had disturb the resting birds. The noise of so many birds suddenly taken flight brought his attention to the adjacent building to the one where he had hidden himself. Something or someone was on the roof, maybe this was the thing that his senses said wasn’t there, but his instincts said was.

Darius cursed silently to himself "damn pigeons". Then continued across the roof of the building away from the others. He hoped this wasn't enough to draw their attention but doubted he'd be so lucky. Dropping the invisibility cantrip in favour of concentrating on speed Darius turned and leapt to the next building.

{{Sorry I wasn't immediate in this response. School started back up on Monday. This semester is going to be pretty busy.}}
Morgan hooked a lock of stray hair behind her ear, removing it to allow her a clearer view of the ashes. "I smell something too. It's faint, but it's there," she stood up from her hunched position. "And it's close too."
Morgan turned to face the darkest part of the alley. Shadows and broken street lamps plunged this section into blackness. It was close enough to spy on passerby, but far enough away that anyone hiding in the shadows would easily be concealed from prying eyes.That's where I'd be if I were hiding.
Slowly moving her hand so she wouldn't alarm the unseen vampire, Morgan made a small gesture to grab Audrina's attention. "Audrina," she whispered, afraid of raising her voice too high, "I think that's where we should..."
Morgan didn't have a chance to finish. Suddenly, birds on a nearby rooftop thrust themselves into the air, creating such a commotion that could've awakened the dead. Both girls spun on their heels to gaze up at the sky, watching as the birds franticly fought for altitude.
A sent hit Morgan like a shot to the gut. There's another vampire up there on the roof! She was certain she had sensed a vampire lurking in the shadows behind them, but now a whole new smell convinced her that she and Audrina weren't the only ones stalking prey this night.
She cursed. "Audrina," she said after her rant was over, "there's two of them!"
Morgan wildly looked about her, uncertain as to who they should go after; the vampire in the shadows, or the previously unknown vampire who was now, by the ever-weakening scent, running away from them.
{{Also, anyone have any ideas of when we're taking this thread over to the other site? I know not everybody is registered over there, but any ideas?}}

{{Sorry about the delay, I just started school this week and things have been on the hectic side.}}
Audrina quickly ran over to Morgan, looking around and trying to decided which scent to follow. "I noticed, why don't we just go that way and see what we run into?" She asked as she headed towards the scent that seemed to be fading. "Maybe we can catch up to it and figure out what the hell is going on, if we're lucky the one hiding will follow that scent too?"
She looked to Morgan, shrugging, hey it was an idea wasn't it?
{{I'm sorry this is so short, but it's 4:30 in the morning and I've got writers block. As for the other site? I was wondering the same thing myself.}}

From his alcove deep in the darkness Alucard watched as the two women began to scan the darken alley searching with otherworldly senses, if not for the sudden panic flight of the pigeons from the roof of the adjacent building Alucard was sure that he would have confront the two women, but his senses picked up a scent that was rapidly moving away from him, something that hinted of a vampire, but not. Alucard could not take the chance of losing this scent and possibly a new ally.
Moving before he even realized it, Alucard took three running steps and leaped to the adjacent roof top. His black leather trench coat rustling noisily at the sudden movement as Alucard caught a quick glance of the two women, one looking at where he had been hidden the other glancing toward the rooftop where the birds had been disturbed. Pausing only a moment as he landed on the roof as graceful as a panther on prowl he took a quick glance at the two women below, lighted by simmering ashes of his meal before picking up the scent once more his coat flaring open as he turned to pursue fading scent. As he followed the scent a thought flashed through his mind, a quote, a recurring quote that has appeared in many of the Sherlock Holmes novels, “.. the games afoot…” as he raced toward the next building preparing to make the leap.

"Okay," Morgan agreed with Audrina, "We'll follow that one," she said, indicating towards the rooftops. Who knows, he could be a spy for Van Sciver. Morgan had been hoping for a break into her investigation of Marcus Van Sciver and this Aurora drug he'd created. The vampire running away from them might be someone who could give her answers.
Or if not, than at least we can find out why he was trailing us...before he dies.
Morgan started after Audrina, but was taken back as she realized that someone had just leaped over their heads and landed on the rooftop nearest them. Jerking her head up, Morgan's eyes locked with a vampire. He glanced at them for only a moment before rushing away after the very same scent that they were intending to follow. Her eyes followed him as he jumped from rooftop to rooftop, gaining on the prey that they were losing.
"O-kay...that's impressive," she commented on this new vampire's ability to jump like some big wild cat of the jungle. "One for each of us?" she asked Audrina, thinking that the only way to capture both of them would be to go after the vampires separately.
{{Well, how about this, I know Darius said he was hesitant to go to the other board, for he was involved in too many roleplays. (Actually, he said that while under Lucian's account, but same difference). Alucard, are you planning on going to the new board? If you're not, I guess we can continue here until this thread is fininished, then we'd be free to go to the board we choose. Does this sound fair to everyone?}}
