Character Name: Raze
Race: Vampire
Physical Description: Raze measures in at 5 feet 6 inches, with long black hair that is usually spiked or just left to itself. Raze also has neatly kept white side-burns. His eyes used to be a piercing grey, but after Silvermane's attack, his eyes shine exactly like Silvermane's, having also gained the eyeshine ability.
Even after he was turned, Raze has kept his dark Native American complexion. Both ears are pierced, with several nicks in his right ear as a testament to a barely escaped bar brawl. Black tribal tattoos cover his shoulders, biceps, upper chest, and back. On his lower right forearm, he bears the brand of a pirate. Across Raze's abdomen is a faded scar from a British seaman's bayonet.
After fighting Silvermane several times, the demon's bite turned him into something similiar to Silvermane, but he cannot take a demon form. Instead he sprouted large feathery wings that he can hide at will, and he can fly almost as fast as his "sire".
Age: Raze was 26 years old when he was turned in 1777 A.D, roughly around the time of the American Revolution, making him roughly 203 years old, give or take a year.
Hobbies: His love of the arts often leads him to sketch and this mixes well with his passion for reading any book he can get his hands on.
Goals: Raze detests any form of law that restricts his freedoms, moreso if it places him under the control of someone he doesn't trust or respect. His ultimate goal is to aid whatever faction in eliminating the vampire hierarchy, and any other goals he might have fall to the wayside.
Personality: Upon first meeting Raze, he may strike someone as being shy and outspoken. That assumption could not be further from the truth. In reality he is drinking a person in, taking in things from the way they talk, to how they hold their knives and forks. Underneath that rugged face is a cool mind, calculating at times, but sometimes overly playful.
With business dealings, Raze prefers to get straight to the point, and usually doesn't ask many questions. He has relatively even keel, and even puts up with other's bull for a while, but after he decides he has had enough, Raze will make his point very clear. Should one make the mistake of ignoring that, they often find themselves in the path of an angry vamp with a foul attitude.
He is also an incurable nomad, often moving around many times from state to state in the US in the span of 10 years.
History: Raze was born a Native American in the American Midwest, and was later taken as a young man to the United Kingdom as a slave. He spent many years of his life there, speaking broken bits of English until a kind stranger taught him how to speak, read, and write fluently in the English language.
His British master died from malaria when Raze was 22, and on the night of his death, the Indian fled the UK stowed away on a merchant ship bound for Mexico. His dark skin and odd eye color made him unique among the Mexican tribes, even becoming a honorary member of one of the few Aztec clans left.
After a few years, when Raze's nomadic nature again revealed itself, he took leave of his "new" tribe and traveled to North Carolina a year before the Revolution began. Here he met the a roving band of Cherokee warriors that had been lurking around the harbor at night.
After several of his supply bags had been stolen from his room in a nearby hotel, Raze confronted the leader of the band. Harsh words were exchanged, and a fight nearly ignited in the quiet Carolina night. Town militia men broke it up and placed all the men in the dank jailhouse.
Two days passed, after which Raze was released a few hours before the tribesmen. He was told to leave town to prevent any future outbreaks of violence. So, for a few days he hunted in the thick forests near the lower portion of what is now South Carolina. Again, the same band of Cherokee ambushed him in his camp at night while he had been healing from an earlier forage that had ended badly. Their leader revealed himself as a vampire, and forced Raze to become a member of his "band" by turning him.
For the duration of the Revolution, Raze ran with the Cherokee, often adopting a pack mentality during a hunt. They usually drank animal blood, but they preferred human. This lust led them to raid settler's farms and outlying homes in the suburbs of cities.
This continued for nearly 6 years until vampire hunters from Europe arrived at the American cry for help against the "savage beasts of the night". The vampire leader knew what hunters would do to his growing band, and decided to strike while the humans slept. The coupe went well, with the complete extermination of the hunters.
It is not known when Raze left his "tribe" of vampires, but it has been speculated that it was after the leader's death at the hands of a very lucky human. He later made life miserable in the West as a bandit, and later served on the side of the Confederate Army during the Cival War.
He dissapeared for nearly a century until a member of the Dragonetti tribe discovered his hiding place. Raze was brought before the Dragonetti Elder to see if he would be fit for service. He was approved, and Cyrus became his mentor, bringing him up to date on things in the 20-21st century.
When Frost nearly eliminated the tribes in his determination to bring La Magra into the physical realm, Raze hid for the next few decades until he heard of a vampire house named Chthon in Detroit. He has been a member there for a little over a month.
While he was in Detroit, he collided with a vampiric demon named Silvermane. They fought several times, but one time Silvermane got the upper hand and bit him. The demon's bite is unique, turning his chosen victim(s) into something like himself, only unable to take a demon form. Raze survived excruciating pain as he grew wings and developed a much more aggressive thirst.
Now he hunts Silvermane for revenge, determined to kill the demon for turning him into what he views as a freak.
