^Yeah, some meds are good. <<They've done miracles for me. I was diagnosed with Social Anxiety Disorder about 2 years ago, and they put me on a medication. I can tell it worked because before I was on the meds I was a nervous wreck around people. I remember thinking of going to college and being terrified at the thought. Now, 2 years later, I'm going to college in just a little over a week, and I'm excited to go. I mean, I'm a little nervous because it's a big change living somewhere that's not home. Even though I'll only be about 45 minutes away though). I'm a bit nervous, but excited at the same time. So I definitely think that some medications are good.

^Very easy to talk to
<<Shares his SAD symptoms. Well, before I was on the meds, I noticed that I couldn't walk down the hallways at school without being totally nervous. I was always wondering what people thought of me. Or I just felt seriously self-conscsoiuc. If I had to answer a question out loud in class my face would start to feel hot, and I would start sweating, and my face would turn pink/red. I got embarrassed easily. Forget having me do presentations in front of the class. One time I took an F just to avoid doing a presentation because I was so nervous. Sometimes if I had to go to the front of the class I would feel like everyone was staring at me or thinking stuff about me, and my neck would get stiff so it would be hard to turn my head.
In 11th grade I had to write a paper on opression(which is means something that holds you back), and I wrote about how I used to be oppressed because of my social anxiety. I sat down and thought about what may have caused my social anxiety, and I discovered what it had been. I was abused as a kid, and when I went to school, I became shy. Bullies would make fun of me because of dumb things. My pointed ear(yes, I have a pointed ear), and weird stuff like that. I just got really self conscious, which I believe led to the social anxiety.
Now most of those symptoms are gone. Although I still get a bit nervous being in front of a class, but I really feel as if I have improved alot.

<< Wow, my brother is like that.. I get really, really nervous for presentations and stuff and one time I got so scared that I started seeing spots and had to sit down... Hmm, I might have a bit of SAD, but then again it may just me being shy (I've been like that ever since I was a kid)
