Marcus nodded and sat down. "Its not a problem Tristan. I sense something in you. I just want to know why you, chose Chthon. Out of all the houses in Detorit, why choose mine?"

Tristan sat back in the chair. Comfortable with the tone Marcus gave him, he began to speak. "I've been here a few months and Ive heard of how you have taken on the Purebloods. That battle is mine own as well. I came here in search of the pureblood who slaughetered my family." He shook his head slightly. "Chthon is where I belong..."

Marcus slowly walked around his desk and took a seat in his leather recliner as he listened to Tristan speak. He had to admit that it was nice to know he wasn’t the only vampire who hates pure bloods and he couldn’t stop the smile from settling on his face. He just nodded slowly. Perhaps letting him in would be beneficial to him in the long run. “You know, I wasn’t going to even consider accepting newbies, but you… I have a feeling you’ll be far worth my while.”

Tristan felt a smile cross his face as he heard Marcus's words. "Thank you Mr. Van Sciver. I can make myself useful here. Im well trained and ready to fight for this house." He said firmly. Already beginning to feel like he was part of something. Which made him feel better.

Marcus just nodded. He wasn't expecting to do any fighting yet, but it was nice to know that while he was slowly changing Chthon, someone was willing to fight for it. "That's good to hear. I'll have someone show you to your quarters."

Tristan smiled and nodded. "Thank you again." He said as he extended his hand to him.

Marcus takes his hand the smile still on his face. "No thank you" Tristan was escorted out of his office moments later by one of the lower level vampires in the house and taken to his quarters. Marcus however stayed in his office, thinking over a few things that had been on his mind. More or less involing Charlene and Krista. He never did hear how their meeting went, but knowing Charlene it would have been intresting enough for Krista. Exspecially if his hunch was true.

Krista got out of the shower after awhile. She thrrew on a night gown and sat near the window of her room. It'd been a long and stressful day for her. That meeting with Charlene still fresh on her mind. She replayed it in her mind as she sat there, trying to figure out why it was so easy to talk to her. She closed her eyes for a moment, You coming to bed Marcus? She thought to him. They had barely seen much of each other with all that was going on. They each had duties that needed dealing with.

Krista’s voice echoed threw Marcus’s mind like soft silk, pulling him quite efficiently to her side, even when she didn’t mean to. The work he had to do could wait till nightfall. They’d been neglecting each other lately, concentrating on their respective jobs. With a smile, that only he could see he rose from his desk. Of course, if you wish it.

Krista smiled as she stared out the window. That's what I like to hear. Her smile growing wider as she felt him coming near. She missed him these past few days. They had barely spoken of anything fallen asleep together in such a long time. She missed having him next to her holding her while she fell asleep in the comfort of his arms.
