Krista turned over a chair and helped Chad up from the floor. She walked back over to Marcus. "Any Ideas? " She said glancing around the room. Though there was no sign of anyone else other than the trashed room around them now.

Marcus gazed around his office, a slow smile curling onto his lips. He had underestimated the demon, and the extent of its physic powers. Whatever had happened to it down in the labs it had cause the demon to launch into an astral form. And with the astral plane, there were always some rules that applied. Did Silvermane think that trashing his office would scare him away? He’d seen far worse in his days, done far worse. A little astral poltergisting wouldn’t get the demon anywhere. He merely stood from his desk and gazed steadily around. “Perhaps now would be a good time to show yourself demon… I’m not known for my patience, nor my ability to keep the ones you love safe either in such circumstances."

After Krista had helped Chad up, he walked to Marcus's desk and sat on one of the edges. He briefly realized that by doing this he was choosing sides. If Silvermane was still in the room, it would look like Chad was siding with Chthon. Too late now., he thought.
"nor my ability to keep the ones you love safe either in such circumstances", echoed in Chad's mind. Was he talking about me? Does he know there is something between Silvermane and I? We haven't shown any public affection..., he thought to himself.
Chad turned his head to look at Marcus. "Do you think he's gone?"

Marcus shook his head. The room would feel different if the demon had returned to his own plane. “I think not.” Marcus slowly walked around the room, trying to sense where exactly Silvermane was projecting himself from. It however was like trying to find a needle in a haystack and Marcus didn’t feel like exerting himself over something that wasn’t necessarily going to harm them at the moment. Instead he turned and gazed at Krista. “What do you say, we relocate this meeting?”

Krista watched Marcus as he roamed the room. In search of the demon. She turned to Marcus as he spoke. "Sounds good to me." She glanced over at Chad still unsure as to what to do about him. She wasn't going to betray Marcus.

Silvermane was looking directly at Marcus, a rather hateful glare aimed directly where his adversary's heat barely beat. He half expected Marcus to turn around.
But there was also an added plus to being astral: While you cannot physically kill someone unless you start slinging random heavy shit around, they cannot kill you either. That is, unless they find your body. But for now, Silvermane was content to allow Marcus to try to harm his ghost-like form.
Hey, you overgrown excuse for a maggot. Silvermane hissed, his voice watery and sounding like it came from a great distance. His form wavered slightly as it came into view of everyone in the room, but it still didn't have "solidity" to it.
If one looked at him, you could still see the wall and furniture behind the demon.
While Silvermane couldn't harm Marcus with his ghostly self, that didn't apply to the furniture. He picked up a rather large, hardwood chair above his head.
He glared at Marcus hatefully, ghostly body tensing to sling the huge chair across the room.
You leave the ones I care about out of this. And if you so much as look at one of my charges wrong, so help me God, I'll shred you like a piece of paper.

Marcus nodded once to show that he had heard Krista, otherwise his mind was focused on other things or well, other demons. His lips turned up into a smile as Silvermane’s words echoed in his mind. However when Silvermane’s form filtered into view he stopped walking and merely stared at the astral demon. His smile faltered slightly when he picked the chair up, but stayed on his face nonetheless. “You think throwing a chair will defend your loved ones? Your charges? You’re in my world now demon, remember that!”

The big demon didn't say anything, but the chair did lower a fraction of an inch. One of his biggest flaws was the fact that he had the tendency to act before he thought.
Alright, Marcus, I'll admit that it's "your" world. I can handle that, because when you die, you'll be in MY realm. But, I'm getting ahead of myself. I'd like to make a deal with you, if you'll permit.
The demon's form set the big chair down and ghosted his way closer to Marcus and Krista.

Marcus watched Silvermane approach himself and Krista and kept his gaze trained on him. "Have your forgotten something? I'm already dead."

No, Marcus, you misunderstood me. I meant, brutally put, whenever some vampire hunter manages to pierce your heart with a silver stake, whatever passes for your soul will enter the realm I exist in." Silvermane paused, trying to gauge the depth of Marcus' anger, and failed. "Nothing more, nothing less.
The demon's eyes flickered over Chad's face, briefly rested on Krista, and back to Marcus. Whatever he did, he had to make sure Marcus didn't even suspect a whisper of love between Silvermane and Chad.
Finally, Silvermane's posture relaxed somewhat, allowing a small portion of stress to leave his body. I'd like to find some way where you and I could at least come to the agreement of you leave me alone, along with a few loved ones, and in return, you'll never have to see or deal with me again.
Here the demon knew he was sticking his neck out, and if Marcus asked who those "loved ones" were, he'd have to find someway to include Chad in it, without making his friend's situation worse.

((I'm up this early, well because one our front door was open and two we're missing a cat. After spending an hour looking for him I just can't go back to sleep. Thus I'm posting, not that anyone cares why I'm up so early.))
“Find a way to leave you as well as those you care about alone? I fail to see how that is any importance of mine. Remember just who started this.” He pointed to Chad and then returned his gaze back to Silvermane. “I’m not stupid, I knew for a very long time just who was slipping out information, I chose to ignore it in hopes that other people could convince him to give the act up. But I was wrong, not only did he allow others to come into my house, to harm the ones who were under my charge no less. To harm the ones care about!” Marcus shifted slightly, taking in the demon’s change in posture. “I fail to see why I should consider anything you half to say.”

Krista moved closer to Marcus as the conversation between the two of them continued. Whatever reason chad had in coming here he was probably regretting it now. His cover had been blown during the last incident in Chthon, there was no way of getting out of that.
(OOC: Im so sorry to hear about your cats. I know exactly how ya feel. My cat was lost not to long go for over 5 hours. And were able to find him. He hadnt gone far at all. Hope you find yours.)

Indeed, Marcus. I see that I started this "mess" and harmed the ones you cared about, or at least attempted to. I can see your point of view. In the same way I threatened yours, you retaliated in the same way I would have, put in your position. And you have every right not to listen, especially since I'm not in a very good bargaining position as of this moment.
Silvermane felt a sharp pang of dissapointment flicker across his face before he buried it under his demonic facial features. This was not going well, and he suspected Marcus knew it as well. Chad was in danger, and now in all probability, Marcus was going to kill him under the ruse of allowing him back into the House of Chthon. Burly arms crossed in frustration along with a deep, almost moaning sigh.
Fine, Mr. Van Sciver. The demon's eyes held a hint of regret, reflecting something of a deep sense of loss. I see I'm going nowhere with this, so I'll stop beating around the bush. I thought you might want to know of House Erebus' intentions to invade Chthon, considering you "attacked" a member of their house with intent to kill. See, even after all these years, I'm still a member, though it's not something I let "slip" to just anyone. He paused to allow this to sink in.
Why am I telling you this, you ask yourself? Because I want my body back! I would not be lurking around like some damned ghost to speak to you. I don't know what you did to it, or where you put it, but it seems my body and my "soul" have become separated. You give that back to me, and I can stop Erebus' invasion of your House.
Silvermane's lips curled, though his eyes were full of regret. And one other thing, Marcus. You kill Chad, and I will personally spearhead Erebus' forces and kill both you and Krista myself. I'm not stupid. You had no intention of allowing him back into your "fold". You just wanted to get him where you could torture him for information and dispose of him.
((Oh, that's not good! I really hope you find your cat unharmed and healthy. ))

Chad watched the confrontation, fear slowly growing within him. Abigail was right, I shouldn't have come here., he thought. I've made things worse.
He looked at Silvermane's astral form. But if I hadn't come here, I would have never known what happened to Silvermane. Whatever happens, at least I now know that he's somewhat okay.
Dissapointment was beginning to mix in with the pot of emotions. Why can't Marcus just get over the fact that I betrayed him? Why is he being such a prick about this? I just want to see what's it's like to really be a part of something.
You are a part of something, he told himself. You're sort of being trained to be a Nightstalker. Abigail and Sophia are you're friends. They care about you. House of Chthon is the enemy, so what is there to possibly be confused about?
He looked up, realizing he had gotten lost in his thoughts. His eyes focused on Krista, and realization smacked him. She's a part of the confusion. If Chthon is really bad, then why would Krista be a part of it? Chad's eyes drifted to Marcus. She's here because she loves him. She loves Marcus van Sciver. She's convinced herself that she belongs here; that she has nowhere else to go
I wonder what it feels like to be around people just like me. People that are going through, and have gone through the same feelings that I'm having.
While Marcus and Silvermane were arguing with each other, Chad was arguing with himself. What if Silvermane knew what I'm feeling right now? What would he say? Do I really want to be a member of Chthon again? What would Abigail and Sophia say? He looked at Krista again. I really miss her. I don't want our friendship to end.
Chad growled out loud. I don't know what to do

Kristas gaze trailed back over to Chad. As if she was being pulled over towards him. She watched him silence, before he growled. She caught his gaze sensing a battle going on within him. As the one in the room continued. She closed her eyes never having linked her thoughts to anyone other than Marcus. She concentrated on Chad, blocking out all others. Chad. What's going on? Did you really mean what you said? Do you really want to be with us? I cannot stick my neck out for you unless I truely know your feelings.
As her link to him strengthened she felt his confusion, not knowing where he belonged. A feeling she knew all to well. She tried to decifer whether it was sincere, and some part of her knew it had to be.`
