^^Human form
PB: The Lord of the Rings' Uruk-hai
Character Name: Silvermane AKA "Jester"
Race: Vampire/Demon
Physical Description: Silvermane stands at 6'6, and weighs 220 pounds. His demon form can be described as a large black-skinned orc or great strength. The only difference is that Silvermane has wings, while the more "traditional" orc doesn't. He has long, thick, black hair that hangs like a mop down to his shoulder blades, along with a horrific, nightmarish face. Large fangs protrude from his mouth making for a very nasty bite.
The scar of a an elaborate cross has been burned into his forehead, mocking the traditional views on both vampires and demons. However, it only shows in his demon form. His eyes are are a whitish, blue light when he is not using his night vision.
While he does hang out in his demon form, Silvermane tends to stick to his human form 90% of the time. He has a muscular, athletic frame, is extremely fit and he has long black hair with a small goatee. His eyes glow softly with a whitish blue light, due to his eyeshine ability. The demon usually wears welding goggles during the day, due to his sensitivity to light. (details below)
Silvermane's attire usually consists of a black muscle shirt, dark-colored cargo pants, a utility belt, and combat boots. He often keeps small slashing weapons, which he refers to as "shivs," on his person.
Age: 456 (Before death) 36 (after the ceremony with Frost)
Hobbies: Silvermane reads any kind of book he can get his clawed hands on, and he often likes to skateboard, and when he is not doing either of those two, he flies around the city at night, often scaring the holy crap out of pilots.
Goals: Silvermane has a hatred of vampires in this day and age, and will aid anyone who will help him destroy these "diluted" creatures. He feels that vampires have lost their dignity and pride in themselves as a race and need to be wiped out before they do any more damage to the human population. He also has a promise to fulfill to Whistler by watching over Abraham's only daughter, Abigail Whistler.
Personality: At the outset of Blade 2, Silvermane is viewed by the other hunters as a dangerous, cold-blooded killer. There is some truth to this; however, Silvermane is by no means psychopathic. He usually kills out of necessity, much like a predator, when he is threatened. Some would argue that he kills for the joy of it, though there is little if any evidence in his history to support this idea. It is most likely that he only kills out of necessity, but feels little if any restraint when doing so. He seems to have a diminished opinion of the value of human life. He also appears to have a certain sense of honour- when Johns, a bounty hunter who'd captured him, 'nearly' shot him so that Silvermane would remember the way it could have gone, Silvermane grabbed Johns' gun and did the same thing, apparently to ensure he wouldn't be 'indebted' to Johns in the future.
It is revealed that the primary reason for Silvermane's cooperation in Blade 2, 3 is that he believes he will be set free after they finish killing the vampires. Silvermane is a brave individual. He is often willing to enter combat against unfavorable or even seemingly impossible odds, as evidenced by his facing one of the native creatures in Butcher’s Bay even after almost everyone else who encountered them had been killed. He also attempted two escapes of Triple-Max prisons, both of which succeeded. He has instigated prison riots. He is stealthy, always on his toes, and he prefers to attack from the shadows.
Silvermane is also a rather intelligent man. He is much more observant than most of the demon race, because he rarely panics and spends his time trying to find a rational course of action. He has a fair knowledge of human and vampire motives and can choose his actions by how he believes his pursuers to behave. He is often right, although Raze in particular has grown accustomed to Silvermane's way of thinking, after having chased him for quite awhile. Silvermane also seems to have a good knowledge of human anatomy and perhaps even xenobiology; he knows all the most lethal places to strike a human with a blade, and he is able to determine the blind spot of vampiric hellcats by looking at a skeleton they find in the Arabian desert.
History: Very little is known about Silvermane's history before he returned to our world, except that before he died he was a vampire.
The demon was a Pureblood, and Silvermane admits this when he was asked, but won't reveal what House or tribe. The demon was born in Sparta, and was killed in 74 B.C. in battle by a Roman vampire hunter and went to La Magra's realm in the afterlife.
Silvermane remained there for several centuries, eventually losing his human looking vampire form for the demonic being that was his soul. The demons there taught him how to fight in his "new" body, and gave him the sword that his wields with great skill. It is rumored that Silvermane even met La Magra face to face, but he will not admit this to anyone. The only person suspected to have known was Whistler, but Abraham took it to his firey grave.
He lurked as a lost soul through the shadows, until he spied the nexus of energy and slipped through unnoticed during Frost's ceremony to become La Magra's host.
He took possession of a fallen vampire, whose body was already ash, and was reborn from it like a Phoneix. In the pitched battle afterwards with the Frost's familiars, Silvermane learned painfully that he was not immune to garlic, or silver, but that sunlight didn't bother him. He later discovered that he could return to his former vampire body. Silvermane was later captured by vampiric officials, who condemned him to 60 years to life in the rough vampire prison, Butcher's Bay. He spent only 6 years there before he managed to escape and fled to an unknown city. While Silvermane was in Butcher's Bay, his fighting skills and reflexes were honed to a razor's edge in fierce gladitorial battles to the death.
The demon fled the prison, hiding in the neighboring city feeding on humans and vampires. During one such forage Blade managed to surprise and capture him, taking him to the warehouse he shared with Whistler. Abraham spared him, but made him swear to a single promise. Silvermane did, and Whistler taught him the morals and values that he shared with Blade. The demon was introduced to the serum Blade is famous for using, and was told in the event that he needed to feed, to take a vampire victim instead.
A few days before the Reaper crisis began, Silvermane was grievously injured and had to be moved to avoid any further confrontations that might kill him. He was moved several times before the demon settled down. He survived the wait through the Reaper problem, stayed hidden during the battle with Drake and the release of Daystar virus, but never received contact from either Blade or Whistler. Silvermane did not know that Whistler had been killed during the FBI raid to capture Blade. The demon took things into his own hands and tracked back to the warehouse he had shared with Blade, only to find ashes.
The trail led to Detroit, where he met Blade and later the next night, the Nightstalkers. There he learned that Whistler had been killed, and Silvermane grieved for as long as he could before duty called. With tears lingering in his eyes, the demon stated Abraham's last promise. Silvermane had to watch over Abigail.
Silvermane also made a dangerous enemy as well. A vampire bounty hunter by the name of Raze was in town, a member of the House of Chthon. They collided, with both injured. The demon is determined to destroy the skilled vampire before he uncovers parts of Silvermane's past that he wants to remain hidden. He also knows of Raze's contract to capture the demon and sell him to highest bidder.
***Eyeshine***
According to Silvermane while in La Magra’s realm, he recieved an eye enhancement from a demon"doctor" that enhanced his night vision greatly, but made him quite sensitive to brighter light such as sunlight. He is blinded by sharp exposure to bright lights, and wears welding goggles in bright light to protect his eyes. Everything appears in shades of purple, and white. According to Silvermane, this adaptation cost him twenty Pureblood souls.
